Manchester United VS Arsenal Preview

Arsenal are taking on Manchester United at Old Trafford this evening with a Wembley Semi-Final at stake. Neither team are on a good run of form after Arsenal were knocked out of the Carling Cup and Champions League and United have lost their last two league games in a row. Arsenal's squad is now well and truly injury stricken with Szczesny and Fabregas both picking up injuries at the Nou Camp. This is the starting XI I believe Wenger will pick for todays Quarter Final at Old Trafford.

Goalkeeper
Manuel Almunia will have to come in for the injured Wocjech Szczesny. He isn't exactly a fans favourite but he now has the chance to guide the team to winning trophies such as the FA Cup and the Premiership.

Right Back
Bacary Sagna will continue at right back and will hopefully have a better game than he did against Barcelona.

Centre Back
Laurent Koscielny will partner Johan Djourou at the heart of Arsenal's defence. Despite conceding 3 at the Nou Camp they played well and I believe they will have another good game against United today.

Left Back
Gael Clichy will continue at Left Back. He played fairly well against Barcelona but will need to improve today.

Defensive Midfielder
Denilson will start in place of Abou Diaby. Diaby was poor on Tuesday and Denilson is a more defensive minded player.

Central Midfielder
Jack Wilshere will continue in midfield for the Arsenal. He has been superb this season and he will show this again at Old Trafford.

Attacking Midfield
Samir Nasri will start in the central role against United. He has been magnificent this season and he will have to show this again in the absence of Cesc Fabregas.

Right Wing
Nicklas Bendtner will start on the right hand side for Arsenal. He missed the golden opportunity at the Nou Camp and will hopefully make amends this evening.

Centre Forward
Robin Van Persie, will start up front for the Arsenal. He has the potential to win us the game and will hopefully have a better game than on Tuesday.

Left Wing
Andrey Arshavin will start on the left hand side replacing Tomas Rosicky who was very poor on Tuesday.

This will be a tough game for both sides and I believe it will finish 1-1 and the tie will then be decided at the Emirates Stadium, controversially on a Friday evening.
