Arsenal 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers Player Ratings

Arsenal defeated Wolves yesterday with an all round strong performance. Johan Djourou returned, and had a brilliant game at the back, once again working well with Koscielny. The duo have only conceded 2 goals this season, one of which was clearly offside against Everton. Robin Van Persie also led the line brilliantly scoring two important goals to keep Arsenal in the title race and he is now in perfect form to face Barcelona on Wednesday Evening.

Wojciech Szczesny 7/10
Another confident performance from the young keeper. Never really troubled as Wolves only had two shots throughout the whole game.

Bacary Sagna 7/10
Assuring display from the Frenchman, going forward and in defence. Will be missed on Wednesday due to his one match ban, hopefully Eboue can put in a solid performance.

Johan Djourou 7.5/10
Looked confident throughout the game defending well when called upon. The defence looks considerably more stable with Johan at the back instead of Squillaci.

Laurent Koscielny 7/10
Once again Laurent had a good game. The partnership of Johan and Laurent looks to improve with every game and I have confidence in the duo for Wednesday night.

Gael Clichy 7/10
Gael had another good game yesterday. He is becoming far more consistent and will have to continue to improve to defend against Lionel Messi

Alex Song 7.5/10
Dominated the Wolves midfield, regaining possession for the Arsenal on many occasions. He will be key on Wednesday evening.

Jack Wilshere 8/10
A brilliant performance from the young midfielder. Linked up well with Fabregas and Song and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet.

Cesc Fabregas 8/10
Played really well creating many chances for the forwards. Got an assist but also deserved a goal.

Theo Walcott 7.5/10
A solid game for the winger, should of got on the score sheet though and wasted a couple of easy chances.

Robin Van Persie 8.5/10
Led the line brilliantly and is in the form of his life. He is scoring consistently now and may be a late runner for the golden boot.

Andrey Arshavin 7.5/10
The little Russian played well creating many chances. Was wasteful at times though, but he is definitely back on form to face Barcelona.

Substitutes
Marouane Chamakh 6.5/10
Came on towards the end and didn't do himself many favours. Looked half the player Van Persie was and he will still be on the bench for the Barcelona game.

Denilson 6.5/10
Hardly did anything as he didn't feature for long. Lacked energy despite coming from the bench and needs to improve.

Nicklas Bendtner 7/10
Came on and linked up well with the midfield and Walcott.

Man of the match: Robin Van Persie

All in all a promising display from the Gunners, giving them more confidence to face Barcelona on Wednesday.
